Big Leaf

Warm. Balance. Crafted to resonate.

Built for Depth & balance

With its elegant curves and commanding presence, the Big Leaf is designed for guitarists seeking warmth, volume, and tonal versatility. The 12-fret neck meets the body in a way that enhances projection and playability, while the unique Manzer Wedge shape offers exceptional ergonomic comfort — whether on stage, in the studio, or at home.

Crafted with carefully selected tonewoods, every Big Leaf embodies a perfect balance between dynamic responsiveness and visual harmony. From deep lows to sparkling highs, this guitar invites expressive playing and offers a rich tonal palette that resonates long after the last note fades.

What Makes it Unique

12-Fret Neck Joint

The 12-fret neck joint moves the bridge closer to the center of the soundboard, where it activates the top most effectively. This enhances warmth, responsiveness, and tonal depth — making the Big Leaf ideal for expressive, nuanced playing.

Spanish Heel

Built with a traditional Spanish heel, the neck and body form a continuous unit. This method ensures outstanding structural integrity, direct tonal transmission, and a strong, organic connection between player and instrument.

Manzer Wedge

One of the defining features of the Big Leaf is the Manzer Wedge – a subtle taper in the body depth from bass to treble side. Originally developed by Canadian luthier legend Linda Manzer, this innovation significantly improves playing comfort without compromising volume or tone. I am honored to build my guitars with her personal permission to use this unique design feature.

12-string Special Edition

The Big Leaf is also available as a 12-string guitar — originally developed for artist Taylor McCall, who inspired this unique build. Designed for rich harmonics, and a full yet balanced tone, the 12-string version brings an added layer of depth and shimmer to the Big Leaf’s warm, expressive character.
