I carefully select tonewood from trusted local suppliers. I look for pieces with unique character – bearclaw spruce, figured walnut, ziricote, smoked oak, wild alder – not cosmetic perfection, but wood that speaks. Each piece is chosen for its sound, feel, and story.

Depending on the model and custom details, it usually takes several weeks or months. I work slowly and intentionally – no rush, no shortcuts.

It all started with a book I borrowed as a teenager from the city library: I Build My Own Guitar. That’s when I began working on my first steel-string guitar.

Even before that, I had a strong connection to wood and a growing fascination with instrument making. I grew up in a village close to Bubenreuth – a town known for its rich history of violin and guitar building, home to the makers of the iconic Beatles bass.

Over time, I’ve deepened my skills and knowledge through the mentorship of master luthier Wolfgang Teller, and by closely studying the work of legendary builders like Linda Manzer – with whom I’m fortunate to be in personal contact – and Ervin Somogyi, whose ideas on voicing and construction continue to inspire my approach.

My instruments start at around €3500, depending on the model and selected woods. Each guitar is built entirely by hand, one at a time, which makes every piece unique. Special models or custom builds may vary in price. Considering the time, craftsmanship, and selected tonewoods, every instrument is a one-of-a-kind work of art as well as a lifelong musical companion.
